Light, transparency, individuality and generous dimensions – the central hall of the Paul Löbe Building, here seen from the west entrance, is characterised by a feeling of openness and space. Glass and exposed concrete shape the atmosphere of this 200 metre long hall with its four distinctive rotundas on each side. In the Paul Löbe Building are the conference rooms for the 21 standing parliamentary committees. Between and adjacent to the rotundas are the entrances to the ten office areas that branch off from the main hall like the teeth of a comb. The seminar rooms on the ground floor of the first two rotundas are used for talks to groups of visitors on the function and architecture of the house. Straight in front of us is a visitor information stand, offering information material about the work of the German parliament.
