floor navigation

The symmetrical design of the house can be seen clearly from the ground floor underneath the east bridge. The view westwards shows six of the eight rotundas, with the entrances to the office areas hidden behind the elevators. These areas are where the secretarial staff for the committees work. The committee chairpersons and their immediate staff also have their offices there. Quotes from writers Ricarda Huch and Thomas Mann have been engraved in the floor of the hall by American artist Joseph Kosuth.
