Parliamentary Television via Web TV
Parliamentary Television of the German Bundestag is broadcast on the Internet via Web TV. This means it is possible for viewers to watch the current Parliamentary Television output, as a live stream, on their computer screens. All that is required is an ISDN, modem (46 KBit/s) or DSL (514 KBit/s) connection. Just click on the link below to start watching.
Parliamentary Television via Cable
In Berlin, Parliamentary Television can be received in the upgraded parts of Kabel Deutschland’s digital cable network. Information on the upgraded areas can be obtained from the Berlin-Brandenburg Land Supervisory Authority for Private Broadcasters at: www.mabb.de. A digital set-top box is required to receive these services.
Parliamentary Television via Satellite
The Parliamentary Television channel can be received via satellite at the following position: Astra 3A at 23.5 degrees east, frequency 11.515 MHz, horizontal.
Unencrypted reception is possible with a special satellite receiver (which has to be purchased). Anyone interested in this option should contact the German Bundestag’s Online Services, Parliamentary Television Division, which will be glad to forward inquiries: vorzimmer.puk4@bundestag.de
Video on demand
The German Bundestag’s video-on-demand service makes it possible to watch previously broadcast Parliamentary Television programmes whenever you want and as many times as you want. The video requested is streamed directly from the Internet and not stored on the user’s local computer. An Internet connection is required for this service.
