The library is a component of the Legislative Information Service (LIS) that is comprised the library, archives and research departments of the Legislature. As a post-war legislature, the USAID renovated the library an archives spaces of the Liberian Legislature and merged the departments under a single unit. This new establishmant was inaugurated on april 27, 2011. Under this arrangement the libray provides: desk reading sercvice, IT-service, local dailies summary for members, etc.
