Other special collections of the library:
Social History Collection (ZHS) - the library holdings of the former Central Archives of the Central Committee of the Polish United Workers' Party (until recently the Archives of the Polish Left), taken over by the Sejm Library in 1991. It is the only colletion in Poland focusing on the history of Polish and international workers' movement starting from mid-19th century, and also on the history of peasant, trade union and youth movements, collection which developed first of all under the influence of socialist and communist ideology. It contains, among others, unique Polish, and also foreign, 19th century socialist prints, source publications, studies and diaries. The collection of serials includes the first Polish socialist journals, rare titles of the interwar press, and also the collection of underground and Warsaw Uprising press from the Second World War.
