Who else may use library: the Legislative Library is a prime source of information for the Members of the Legislative Assembly, government departments and task forces periodically appointed by the government. As a research library, it is also a resource for the academic community and the general public

Any other information: Second copies of local history and major works of Manitobiana are purchased for the Rare Book Collection, and duplicates of newspapers and
periodicals are ordered for the Legislative Reading Room. As well as protecting the published heritage of Manitoba, these backup collections support the Libary's very active interlibrary loan service

Monthly list of selected books, government publications and other materials recently added to the Library's collections ; requests to borrow any of the items are easily made by returning the attached form by inter-office mail

Regular compilation of tables of contents from current issues of periodicals held by the Library ; photocopies of any articles listed are made by library staff on request
Manitoba government publications monthly checklist Produced by the Library as a comprehensive record of the official publications of the Province ; work is currently being done on the Checklist to increase to speed at which it can be produced and to increase the efficiency of indexing and cumulations

Information service produced by the Library to highlight key services and new publications of interest to Members of the Legislative Assembly
In addition to these alerting services, the Library's current awareness files provide subject access to current and retrospective newspaper clippings from Winnipeg dailies. The files are organized into more than 600 subjects reflecting the activities and interests of the Legislature and provincial governments
