Official result for the 2009 Bundestag election
28.09.2009: The 17th German Bundestag will have
622 Members, eleven more than in the last electoral term. The
largest parliamentary group is the CDU/CSU with 239 seats, of which
24 are so-called ‘overhang mandates’, ahead of the SPD
with 146 seats,
