The work of the Committee on Transport,
Building and Urban Affairs affects millions of people - car
drivers, rail commuters, travellers, tenants, homeowners and the
residents of Germany’s towns and cities. The Committee on
Transport, Building and Urban Affairs is partly responsible for the
fields of policy in which the Federation makes the greatest
investments, such as transport infrastructure. Many billions of
euros are spent on mobility. The Committee, which is one of the
largest established by the Bundestag, also deals with the housing
sector and the construction of social housing.
