Global networking - the parliamentary friendship groups

From Sweden to South Africa, from Bangkok to Buenos Aires – the German Bundestag’s parliamentary friendship groups cultivate bilateral contacts with other national parliaments all over the world. Their purpose is to promote ongoing dialogue with the parliamentary institutions of one or more other countries. To this end, they seek to hold talks as often as possible with politicians and other representatives from their partner states, exchanging information, discussing opinions and sharing experiences. Equivalent parliamentary friendship groups that have the same goals and are dedicated to relations with Germany have been established by the national parliaments of many of the Bundestag’s partner states.
