Committee on Internal Affairs
Security and civil rights
From policy on foreign citizens resident in Germany and asylum to civil defence and disaster prevention: the Committee on Internal Affairs has a wide range of responsibilities. In its deliberations, it seeks to balance the internal security of the community and the civil rights of the individual. In addition to being responsible for parliamentary scrutiny of the Federal Ministry of the Interior and the intelligence services, it also prepares important legislative proposals. One topic it returns to again and again is reform of the public administration.Further information
