Committee on Economic Cooperation and Development
The struggle against starvation and poverty around the world will remain priorities on the international community’s development policy agenda even once 2015, the target year for the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), has come to an end. The Federal Republic of Germany will continue to fulfil its international responsibilities in the post-MDG process. Within the German Bundestag, the Committee on Economic Cooperation and Development deals intensively with the many factors that impact on development, such as climate change, population growth, world trade, basic services (education, healthcare, social security systems), good governance, food sovereignty, minimum standards, gender and inclusion.
